The Final Project….Project Nim :p

Project Nim was an interesting movie

It was different in some ways such as biting because in the book Half Brother Zan would just bite the people he didn’t like and he wouldn’t bite Ben, Sarah, Peter but in Project Nim, Nim would bite everyone.Also Zan didn’t learn how to use the toilet but yet Nim did.They both had different name’s because one was Nim and then there was Zan.Somethings that were alike were that he tried Zan being aggressive and so was Nim. Another was that Zan loved to hug and so did Nim

I had some likes and dislikes. My likes were I couldn’t believe that you could teach a monkey sign language another thing I liked was that Nim loved to give hugs to everyone even the cat. My dislikes were that they would let him drink beer or let him smoke. I also didn’t like that nim statred to get out of control and he wasn’t listening.

Kenneth Oppel made different choices for the book some way off and some that were about Project Nim. The ways he stayed on topic of the movie were getting a monkey, teaching it sign language, and trying to see if they can communicate with other humans. The things that were different were he used a teen boy instead of adult’s. He also said she “stole” Zan. Another was that they had a love battle with Jennifer unlike the movie there were no love battle’s or stories.He also didn’t say that Zan learned how to use the toilet and he never said that Zan would some or drink. He stayed on topic about Zan being “just a project”, he also used the sign language (of course…) He also used the learning chair sort of by using taking the small room Nim had and turned it into the learning chair…because there was a learning chair in the movie.

Project Nim and Half Brother are very similar but in both ways they both have a different story no matter how you look at it because one Zan was so much different with personality compared to Nim. Zan was joyful, playful, fun, loving, and caring but Nim was angry, happy, loving, caring, playful. Another thing that Nim would always do was say sorry or dirty ing sign language.

( I am sorry if it isn’t a lot but I didn’t watch the other half because I was sick and this is all I know)

I hope you liked my post and i love both the book and the movie the are both so different and interesting! :D

Is Animal Testing Bad????

In the book so far we have learned that animal testing from Ben’s point of view and Peter’s point of view both think it is harsh and scary that humans do that to an animal just to see what a product, space, etc. Ben can’t stand to watch it and even believe a human would do that.
The arguments about animal testing is that so people say “oh animal testing is fine and it’s better” and some people say “ It’s animal cruelty and no animal deserves to be treated like that or until they die but it is okay if they are going to test a drug that could cure cancer.” Both of the staments have a reason for it like the first one there are saying it’s okay but maybe it’s because either they really don’t care or they don’t have an animal to see if it would be harming the animals. The other stament says that’s it’s not okay to test on animals but if it was a drug that could cure cancer or for health reasons then it’s ok to test that and not other things such as makeup,perfume,etc. I agree with the second stament because it’s okay to a certain point. I think I am right because animal testing can hurt animals because us humans don’t think it is going to hurt them but it does so humans should just test things like drugs that might cure cancer or drugs that can cure health problems otherwise you shouldn’t do anything else.Both satinets have a point.

People that do animal testing kills thousands of animals by testing them on chemicals, drug, food and cosmetic tests, biology lessons, medical training exercises, and curiosity-driven medical experiments.I do not like animal testing because it is cruelty to animals and most people think it’s their not doing anything wrong when they are and they don’t realize it. I think that animal testing shouldn’t be aloud because it kills animals and people just lock them up in cages and they suffer, are scared and afraid of when their turn is to be tested on. Animal Testing needs to stop because all we are doing is killing animals and making them suffer. I feel that we don’t need to do that because animals deserve to live and run free in the wild and not thrown into cages so they can suffer and then possibly die while they are being tested on. Animal testing and is wrong and it is still happening in EPA and the USA. It is wrong and it is something you shouldn’t do. ANIMAL TESTING IS BAD!!!!

Exams,The Year, and a Sentence!

Hi Everyone!, today I am going to tell you about exams then about the year and how it went then the most important of them all a six word sentence!

Exams were an okay thing but some of them weren’t very easy like Social Studies or Science ( these ones were hard for me not Math and ELA.) Everyone had a hard time during exams and some didn’t, but that’s okay because they were only mid terms soon enough we will have to write finals! (oh boy) anyway I think that my marks were okay( I will not be sharing them) and my overall marks were pretty good to ( I also will not be sharing.) I think I have prettty much said enough about exams and what they are like.Now I will tell you how to study for one! It’s pretty easy but hard.Here is a list of what you need to do: *1.Ogainize all of your work. *2. Read over your work to see what you know and don’t. *3.Read over your textbook. *4.Write out imformation for yourself *5.Make a pretend test for yourself! Exams are hard but as long as you can keep your overall grade in the 80′s even 90′s you will won’t have to write the exams at the end of the year!!!!!

How did the middle of the year go it was all right I guess it was hard in some parts but not all the time. It has been a fun year so far I can’t wait to see what will happen next. I have decided to tell you about the subjects that we did, we did poetry and a novel the book was called The Outsiders(BEST BOOK EVER!!!) in ELA, We did stuff on Egypt and now we are doing stuff on Rome in S.S (it was the best), We did stuff about light in Science(examaples: luminous, incandesent, bioluminesence, chemiluminesence,etc..) In Math we have done ratio’s,fractions, graphs, integers,and much more( i love math!!!). That’s all I really have to say about the middle of the year because I am not to sure what else to say about the middle of the year!

Now it is the most important part that you have been waiting for it’s the…………..SENTENCE!!!!!!!! My sentence is this “It was a very confusing year.” Thank You Thank You!! The reason I chose this sentence was because it has been a very confusing year so far and I hope it will get less confusing or in this case so I can understand better to improve my work. I hope you enjoyed my blog I will write agian soon

Some monkey business……….. :D

Some monkey business……….. :D

What do I think half brother will be about well……………… why don’t i tell you what I think it’s going to be about, I think will be about a boy who finds a monkey and keeps it and teaches sign language to communitcate with it. I think it might be a very interesting book and I can’t wait to read it and what it might hold, I also think there might be some little hangers were you want to keep reading but you can’t and you will get FRUSTERATED!!! Any who I think it will be a fun book to read and I hope the class will enjoy that means you to Wingham. I want to know if it will have a good ending most books have good ending’s unless you are someone like Emily who reads books in less than a day and need a new book right away( I wish I could do that.) I think it will have a lot of descriptive words and useful language.

I think it will be a wonderful bo…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz oops book to listen to and have interesting words and topics, I do hope we will all enjoy this book. What should I tell you next hmmmm………………… I know!!!!! Do you like monkeys ? well you should, monkeys are fun and cute so either like them or stop reading my blog ( I’m kidding about that whole monkey thing so keep reading ) I enjoy monkeys I hope you do to. What else might the book be like other than monkey’s it wold probably be interesting and fun to listen to, it might have a lot of words but I bet they will be interesting and powerful language I hope everyone will like this book and I hope I like this book. Hello December !

Hi everyone how are you all today!!!!

I hope everyone is good because it’s Christmas it’s Christmas in 24 days that is and I can’t wait for more snow to come but I don’t like the cold weather that comes with it. Anyway it’s December.1 and I just can’t wait for the decorating of houses and Christmas tree’s start being put up. I can’t wait to smell the wiff of pine and wacth all the pretty lights go on every night.

Working Together! Collaboration!

Using google docs, google presentations, and working with different people i don’t get to even see is pretty darn cool. I think google docs is cool becuase there is a chat room to talk to your group members and i think it is neat how you can do all kinds of different on it like make a story or take some notes or even just play around on it. I think it is a easy and simple site to go on and I think many people will like the site becuase it is easy to go on. Google docs is easy because all you havwe to do is make an account and then you can do all kinds of things. It has a lot of stuff to do and things to see it is a fun site to talk and do work on too! Google docs try it out now.

Google presentation is a neat site because it lets you have different themes and import photos on the site. If you need to save it you can, and I think that it lets you do lots of things on it when you need to. Google presentation is fun site becuse you can play around with and try and make a good presentation out of all that fooling around. I thought it was a good site and I will use it a lot more often and the better i get to know it is the better i’m going to get. Try google presentation out today!!!

My task was sign language, sign language is a neat thing to learn I thought it was a fun subject to learn. Emily, Jeff, Eddy, and I are doing this with me and they are great people to work with I think they are all a great help and have put alot of effort into this presentation. The task wasn’t that easy but we did it and I think we did a pretty good job. Sign language is a language that isn’t easy to learn but it would be cool to learn it and go teach other people it. There was a lot to do such as gather speeker notes, look for good images, and make a good presentation and we did because we all coopoperated and that is why we got the task done. I hope I get to work with Jeff, Eddy, and Emily again because they were a lot of fun to work with on this presentation.

Working with Jeff, Eddy, and Emily was great! I could tell you a little about each of them and my experience with them I will start off with Jeff. Jeff was a funny guy and loved the colour pink, he was always talking to us and saying funny things. I hope I get to work with him agian because he was nice and kind person to work, Thanks for all your hard work Jeff and making me laugh. Now I will talk about Eddy. Eddy was a great guy, he was always focused on working and sometimes we would just talk with him. He was trying his hardest and always asking before he did it which I thought was a nice thing to do, I hope I get to work with agian. Thanks for all your hard work Eddy and making my day shine.Last but not least Emily. Emily was a wonderful joy because she is one of my classmates! she was wonderful help and did a lot of work and tried her best to put pictures on. Emily would do work and make me laugh at the same time she was a great help and without her we couldn’t of done it. Thanks for all your hard work Emily and making my day. My experience with them was great exspecially with Jeff and Eddy seeming as they are 2 000 km away from me. I hope I get to work with all of you agian!

How did along with them, well I will tell how I got along with them. I got along with my group pretty well some parts not so much because we were probably having a bad day other than that we worked together very well. I think we all got along just fine because we would make oneother laugh while we would work at the same time, I had alot of fun working with them and hoping we will work together and get along like we did this time.

This is all I have to say and I thank my group for making the presentation possiable THANKS YOU GUYS!!!!!! and one more thing eat yoor vegetables!

2. The number 1 thing i have in common with everyone is we all brush your teeth twice a day.

5. The unique about me is I love to draw and paint I will do it when I get the time to do it and my favourite thing I drew was a tree and it was so cool.

6. Bianknop is most like me because we both like art and the t.v show Ghost Whisper.
