We just finished watching Peoject Nim, and even though i missed the first half of the movie, i am very suprised with what i did watch. I’d like to talk about the part where the Bob was letting Nim smoke marajuana! I think that its completely irresponsible, because I thought that it was Bob’s job to keep Nim healthy, and from what I know, DRUGS ARE NOT HEALTHY! Andf thats for homans or animals. This is just crazy. I dont even know why he would think of letting a chimp smoke weed! Maybe he thought that it might be an easy and quick way to calm Nim down, but still, Nim learned how to sigh “stone smoke now” and that just blows my mind! He sounded like a nice guy in both Half Brither and Project Nim, but still this is just wrong. Hes letting Nim get adicted to drugs! I think that its worse enough when human beings are adicted to drugs, now chimpanzees? This is just sick. I wonder why Bob diddnt get charged for this. Maybe things were different back then but still, there should be a law aginst giving animals drugs. This is sort of like the animal testing. I think that they are both very alike, giving chimpanzee’s marajuana, or giving chimpanzee’s medicine. They are both wrong, and i think that it should be stopped! But once again, like i always say this is just my oppinion

So we were asked to write a blog post about ither Roman art, or Roman Engineering. I chose Art. Aslo the post must be 500 words minnimum. So here’s my blog post!
Ancient Roman art was Influinced by many things. Sometimes the Romans even mixed the two styles of art, when I say the two, I mean Roman art and art from a country that they have conquored, such as Greece and Egypt. They were also Influinced by the Gods, and Goddesses that they believed in, and their Emporers.
Romans had many types of Art, too. Such as murals, large wall paintings, mosaics, and so many more. Arcitecture was an other very popular type of Roman Art. And you must have heard of some of the sculptures, made from Ancient Roman People! Some ot them are very famous.
Roman art was also used to show an Importand person’s power. The Roman Paintings, and other art usually showed pictures of Gods, Goddesses, Emporers, and common people. But The pictures in Roman Art were not perfect. Some of the pictures showed the people with very long noses. Meanwhile there is Greece where they made sure that the bodies on the sculptures were cpompletely perfect.
Romans had four different types of optical illusions, that would trick the human eye. The first one was when they would paint the walls so they would look as if they were made of marble, or copies of Greek decoration. The second one was when they wpould paint the walls like windows, so they would trick the people who come to their houses. The third optical illusion was less realistic, but delicate looking images. The fourth one was a combination of the second and third illusions. Sounds like the Romans were some very smart people!
Now for the Materials that the Ancient Romans used when doing their Roman Art. Did you know that they made their own paint brushes? And they also made all of their paint out of all natural materials. Paintbrushes were made of twigs, wood, reeds, or rushes. Shaped wood or ivory was used to make the things that they wrote with. The paint that they used was made from ground rocks and or powder plants. Red and yellow came from ochre, white from chalk, green from green soil, black from soot, and blue was a mixture of copper and glass. The coolest colour, purple, was made of a rare seashell.
Roman Art was highest from 750 B.C to 410 A.D. And it diddnt even start until 500 B.C. They sort of stole the lind of art from Greece in 200 B.C. Roman Art made the Romans happy, because they found makeing the sculptures, paintings, mosaics, and other types of art fun. The nice colours and other things that came from the paintings, and other art forms made the people feel good. It was sort of a reminder that their City is successful, and extremely powerful. Just to sum it all up, ancient Roman art, was very important in History. And You should really look it up. Its really cool.

Hi,
So I read these 2 booksin Febuary, and I absolutley loved them. They were called; I heart you, you haunt me, and The day before. I dont know if you have heard of these books before, but I would strongly reccomend them. I cant remember the author’s name off the top of my head, but she has got to be my favourite author ever. In our Library, we have 4 books written my her. But im still waiting for the other two, and they are called Far From You, and Chasing Brooklyn. They are all written in verse! If you dont know what that means, it means that it is written like poetry. Anyways I wanted to tell you about the books.
I heart you, you haunt me is a really nice book about a girl named Ava, who’s boyfriend named Jackson died. And the book is sort of saying what happened from his funeral and on. It is written very well, and it is really sad, and really romantic. It just shows how when you lose someone they are with you no matter what happens. It has some really crazy twists through out the book, but every twist ends up being really cool. You can probably get from the title that the book is about ghosts. Its really cool, besause Jackson is sort of communicating with Ava in different ways, such as in her dreams, writing little notes on her mirror, and many more weird ways. If you are not into romantic books, then you probably wont like this book. But it really is crazy popular in my class right now. You should try to fund it if you think that it might be a good book for you.
The day before, is a really crazy book about a girl named Amber who just needed to get away from her life for a day or two. Im not going to say why bacuse it might ruin the whole book for you. But anyways she goesd to Newport, and meets a really nice guy named Cade. Amber and Cade really did seem like the perfect couple. Once again this is a very romantic book. Its not about ghosts or anything, but it is just as good as the first one. Its not as much exciting as the first one, but it almost made me cry, so that sort of proves that it was a really good book.
Anyways, These two books are definately in my top 5. And hopefully you will like them as well! Thanks fir reading!

I’m here to talk about how i feel about eating meat, and using animal goods. First I should probably say that I’m not a Vegetarian, completely. But I will not eat most types of meat. It really grosses me out when i see people eat really rare steak, or eat a chicken leg, because You can see the animal’s bone, or its actual blood! I’m not saying that its a really bad thing but I’m just saying that I don’t really like it. The only meats that I will eat without being told, is probably bacon, eggs, and fish. Fish and eggs are not really a #1 “NO EATING THIS” thing for vegetarians. And for the bacon, I just really love bacon Now for the goods, I 100% cannot stand when people wear real leather.
It disgusts me. I don’t really mind pleather at all, actually I have a couple pairs of boots made from pleather. But to think that someone is actually wearing an other being’s skin? That’s just nasty. I’m not against the people, but just I am really against their choice. I have been in houses where the families are really big on hunting, and there is real fur hanging around, and It really grosses me out, and I want to say something, but I don’t want to be rude at the same time. Yes I do think that fur and leather looks nice, but pleather, and faux fur looks just as nice. I actually think that its better knowing that its not real. I am also against hunting. Not really fishing, but i cannot stand hunting. When I would go fishing with my dad or something, I would usually just set the fish free. I always feel bad when I find out that we had caught a female fish with eggs inside of it. Its like killing a mother. 
But once again I want to say that I have nothing against these people who do these things, wear these clothes, and eat these things. I just have a different opinion then them. I really want to make this clear because I have allot of friends who may have a complete different opinion than me, and thats okay!

I was just browsing over the hive and I had realized that I have not posted anything about how my trip to Orlando, Florida was! One word, AMAZING! We went to so many placed that I would never imagine that I would ever be able to go in my life! So i want to share how it was with you all
The first day that we went to Universal Studios, the first Character that I had seen was Betty Boop. She is Definitely one of my favorites. I got a picture with her and it was amazing! After we got our pictures with Betty, we went and say a bunch of cool 4D shows like Shrek, terminator, Nemo, Et, and lots more! Also the first day of Universal studios, I had gotten my first of many chirros. They are a really yummy cinnimony, sugary treat! I loved it! The second day of Universal Studios was the Adventure Island! That was the one with all the rides! My favourite part of it was probably the Harry Potter place. I am a HUGE fan of Harry Potter. In the Harry Potter place there was a giant dragon roller coaster. I decided to go on it with my mom, and some of the other people that we went with. There were parts of it where you were upside down, and everything! It was AMAZING! Also in adventure Island there was a Jurassic Park. That was really cool too! There was one ride where it was like you were on a boat ride, and dinosaurs get cut loose, and at the end you feel like you are going to get eaten my the Tyrannosaurus Rex, but right when you are about to get eaten, your boat goes down a huge slope that feels like you are going straight up and down!
We also went to Aquatica! That’s a water park with tonnes of water slides! There was one water slide where you are on a tube and you slide up the walls of the slide and everything and than you go down a big drop off! It was so much fun! There was also a really fast moving river, where you would just float along on your tube, but its really hard to get out. I had to go and chase out one of my friends who couldn’t get out! That was pretty cool.
I want to talk about my favorite part of the whole trip, Discovery Cove. It was amazing! I got to go swimming with dolphins, stingrays, and some fish! I was also taught how to snorkel! At Discovery Cove there was a lazy river that I must have gone around like 17 times! It was so beautiful! There is one point where you are floating inside a bird sanctuary! Too bad I’m terrified of Birds… But there were treasure chests, waterfalls, beautiful statues, and tonnes more. The day that we were at Discovery Cove It was CRAZY sunny, so I got a really good tan line from my wet suit. I actually still have it a bit
Now for meals. We went to so many cool places! Like the famous Hard Rock Cafe! The food was delish, and The music playing was awesome! I had the salmon, and I dont think that I am ever going to have anything nearly as good as that. We also went to a Hawaiian Lou! It was a dinner show, so that was pretty cool! In the middle of the show they said that anybody from the audience could go up and hula on stage with the dancers so of course I had to go up! It was really hard learning the moves, but It was so much fun! But the food wasn’t my favorite saying how i cannot have Coconut, and Pineapple. But it was still wonderful. We also went to a small fish place, and I must have had like 4 lobsters, and 10 crap legs! It was amazing!
The taxis there were pretty cool too! There was this one taxi that we took everywhere. not just because it was cheap, It could fit all 10 of us, and the driver was really cool, but at night it turned into a party in a car! There were strobe lights everywhere, really good music pumping, and we were allowed to BELT out the songs! Also going back from the fish place the song We Are The Champions came on and all of us just SANG out hearts out! It was so fun!
The plane rides were really stressful. We had to leave for the airport in Winnipeg at 2 In the morning, and I had never flew before so I was really nervous! When we were taking off i chewed allot of gum so I wouldn’t have my ears popped too bad, but It didn’t work… AT ALL! It was pretty cool seeing the sun rise though. We had to stop in Toronto, and than Fly to Orlando. When we Hit ground in Toronto I didn’t know what It was going to feel like when we touched the ground, so i SCREAMED so loud in the airplane and everybody was looking at me! It was really embarrassing! The Flights back were allot better because I knew what to expect.

This was my first time ever writing exams… and let me tell ya.. it wasn’t fun! The studying was so stressful, and my brain hurts I am not going to post my marks but i will say that i am happy with them When i was studying the ways that i studied was reading over my notes, scamming through my textbooks, making funny sayings to remember the answers, and re-doing some of the questions from my textbooks. I really do wish that i would have started studying allot earlier though. Also i may have rushed myself a little bit so next time i might want to use my time a little bit better. Also i should have gotten a lot more sleep than i did and i should have gotten up earlier to have a proper breakfast.
Mr.Fisher had us write “six-word-stories” and it was not easy. Mostly because they were on a topic. The topic was the first half of the school year (so school before mid-term exams). The six-word-story that i wrote was this: Learning new things in different ways. This makes allot of sense to me because last year in grade six was allot different from this year. Mr.Fisher has us using online textbooks and typing out our answers as to last year where we would only go on the computers for researching facts about different subjects pretty much. I personally like using the laptops a bit better because i type faster than i can write and also it is allot neater. But this is different for everybody!
I don’t know how many of you know of the band called One Direction… well, I recently became OBSESSED with Harry Styles… Here are some random facts:

On Sunday my oldest sister Ellyn came home for the holidays. I got so excited, because my sisters an I always do the coolest things together. It makes me sad to see some sisters that don’t talk to each other after they move out, but Kayt, Ellyn, and I are pretty close. After our oldest sister moved out, me and Kayt got allot closer. In June Kayt is graduating, it makes me really sad knowing that she is going to move away for school, but at the same time i am totally happy for her an i know tht she can make it anywhere!
Ellyn is the only one of my family that is able to come here for Christmas though. It is a really good thing that My grandparents live here too though. We usually go to there place for Christmas dinner because my grandma makes some of the best apple pie in the world! My Aunt Wendy used come here for the Holidays but this year my cousin Carly got a job so they couldn’t make it.

Over the past weeks, my class and the class form Wingham have been working on some presentations about ‘Half Brother’. It has been really frustrating because we have been working with kids that live hundreds of miles away instead of working with your classmates who are in the same classroom as you. We thought that our presentation was all good, and we were ready to go… but apparently we were not. We had some problems during our presentation, because we didn’t know who was supposed to do which slide. It was VERY
embarrassing. I wish that we could try again and do our presentation way better than we did the first time. I learned that sign language takes a really long time to learn. Also i didn’t even know that chimps were being taught sign language. I think that we picked a very good topic for our group, because I learned some sign language when I was little. Actually I also learned that children are easier to teach sign language to, but I actually don’t know why that is. Anyways, I learned many things while working with Wingham, and it was allot of fun in the process

I wanted to make a really quick about babysitting. And yes, I know that this is really random. But I sure do think that babysitting is fun! And you get paid to do this too! I don’t babysit infants all the time, but they sure are allot of fun to play with. Toddlers are a big hand full, because they always just want to run around! Babysitting is a HUGE responsibility though. Because kids can get hurt really easily. Its really weird thinking back to when I needed a babysitter, and now the roles have changed! Its pretty creepy, and it makes me feel really grown up in allot of ways. But that’s pretty much ball that I wanted to say about babysitting Thanks for reading my post.
